Pedro Miguel González

is a Venezuelan-born artist, performer, and creator based in Melbourne, Australia.

Through dance, teaching, and conversation, Pedro explores movement, creativity, and human connection. His work extends beyond the stage, from performances and workshops to long-form conversations, writing, and digital content that reach a global audience.

As co-director of Cortés Dance and creator of experiences like Me Gusta Salsa & Bachata, Pedro has built spaces where people come together through music, culture, and shared energy. He has performed, competed, and taught internationally, developing both high-level dancers and strong communities.

Known for his expressive style and strong technical foundation, Pedro blends performance, education, and storytelling into a single evolving body of work, one that lives both on and off the dance floor.

Pedro, Director of Chaos
(and Timing)

Pedro wakes up with a plan in his head,
“Today I’ll rest”… then trains twice instead.
Hip thrusts, front squats, a chin-up or ten,
Then dances like, “Let’s go again.”

He runs a school, a party, a show,
Says “keep it simple”… then adds ten more.
A website tweak? Just one small fix…
Three hours later: “We’ve rebuilt the mix.”

He’s got 35K watching his spin,
But still rewatches: “Was my shoulder in?”
Wins the comps, collects the gold,
Still thinks, “That timing… could be more controlled.”

At Me Gusta nights he’s half on the floor,
Half doing maths like “we need 10 more.”
DJ, teacher, host and guide,
With 17 WhatsApp chats open wide.

He connect at any time, calm and smooth,
“Trouble?” — “Maybe”… he’s in the groove.
But deep inside, yeah this is true,
He actually cares more than most men do.

He builds, he questions, leads the way,
Gets lost in thoughts by 3pm some days.
But give him music, a stage, a light…
And suddenly everything feels right.

So here’s to Pedro, slightly intense,
A mix of passion and common sense.
A leader, a thinker, a dancer of fire…
Who somehow just keeps going higher.
